Step 1: Sign Up and Login

  1. First, go to the OpenAI website (https://openai.com/) and find the "Sign Up" or "Create Account" button.
  2. Click on the button and provide your email address and a strong password for your OpenAI account.
  3. Follow the prompts and accept any necessary terms and conditions.
  4. Once the registration process is complete, you can now log in to your OpenAI account.
  5. On the OpenAI login page, enter your registered email address and password to access your account.

Step 2: Fast Login with Third-Party Accounts

  1. OpenAI provides the option to log in quickly with existing accounts such as Gmail, Google, Facebook, GitHub, or others.
  2. On the OpenAI sign-in page, choose "Sign In with Google" or other options available.
  3. A new window or pop-up will appear to authenticate using your chosen third-party account to verify your OpenAI account.
  4. After granting permission, you will be redirected back with your third-party account associated to continue using OpenAI.

Step 3: Phone Number Verification

  1. Phone number verification may be required as an additional security measure during registration or login to OpenAI.
  2. During sign-up or login, you will be asked to provide your phone number along with your email address and password.
  3. OpenAI will send a verification code via SMS to the provided phone number for verification.
  4. Enter the received code in the provided field to complete phone number verification and proceed with sign-up or login.

Step 4: Using ChatGPT

  1. After logging in, you can start using ChatGPT through the OpenAI platform.
  2. ChatGPT works using an API, where you can interact with this AI model through prompts.
  3. Provide a list of messages as input, where each message has two attributes: 'role' (which can be 'system', 'user', or 'assistant') and 'content' (which holds the message text).
  4. You can interact with ChatGPT by sending a series of messages and getting responses from the model.
  5. Execute the parsed message from the API output to see the response from ChatGPT.
